Day #8: Gleeking Out

Sweater & Earrings – White House Black Market
Pants – Express
Boots – STEVEN by Steve Madden

Did anyone else watch Glee tonight and see the preview for next week??  Chord Overstreet is bringing Bieber fever to next Tuesday’s episode and my heart went pitter patter.  Oh em gee.  Let the countdown begin!

Today’s business trip was a colossal waste and the driving weather was terrible.  The rental car company gave me a VW Bug to drive for the day..very cute, but if you live in a state where slick roads, heavy snow, blustery wind is the norm then this car is not for you.  I had a death grip on the steering wheel for the 4+ hours I spent in the car today.  I know I’ve said it before but I am soooo over winter.

Day #5: Saturday Night @Home

Earrings – Lia Sophia
Top – Martin + Osa
Sweater – GAP
Jeans – Bullhead @PacSun
Flats – Tory Burch
Bag – Kate Spade

It’s just me and the pup on this rainy Saturday night.  Hubby has a work obligation and lucky for me the latest issue of Cosmo came in the mail today so I have something to entertain myself with until he comes home.  We spent the afternoon supporting friends of ours at a fundraiser for their mom who is battling cancer.  It’s such a sad thing to see them go through.  The last year or so has not been easy for them for so many reasons but I’m glad that, if nothing else, we can stand beside them and show that we care.

As of today we are 1/6 of the way through the 30 for 30 remix challenge!  It’s gone by quickly so far and I still have many pieces that I have yet to wear.  I’d like to think that I’m not going to have any issues with putting together outfits but it’s still pretty early in the challenge!

Day #2: Snow Day!

Earrings & Sweater – LOFT
Ring – Lia Sophia
Jeans – Bullhead @PacSun
Flats – Tory Burch

Well, the 10-14 inches of snow that was expected here last night didn’t happen.  But, thanks to everyone announcing their closings for today extra early in anticipation of awful weather, I still got to enjoy a snow day!  I took advantage of having the extra time to get ready by trying Linley’s fishtail braid tutorial.  I’ve always wanted to learn how to do this type of braid but didn’t know anyone who knew how to do it and could show me.  It’s really not as difficult as I thought it was going to be so thank you for posting, Linley!  I probably should have taken a close up picture so that you can really see how it turned out but we were on our way out when I took outfit pictures and never even thought of it.

I know it’s only day #2 of the challenge, but so far I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time looking at everyone’s outfits and I’m loving it!  As silly as it sounds the no shopping rule seemed really daunting to me before I committed to participate but now I’m actually kind of excited about it.  I spend so much time thinking about the things I think I should be adding to my wardrobe so it’s nice to shift my focus to the things I already have hanging in my closet.  Let’s hope I’m still feeling this way by the end of the 30 days!  ; )

Day #1: Got Snow?

Top – Ann Taylor
Sweater – LC Lauren Conrad
Pants – Express
Shoes – Marc Fisher

Welcome to my first ever outfit post (eeek!) and day #1 of the 30/30 remix challenge!  I could have done without the snow.  Unfortunately, this is the reality where I live and there’s MUCH more on the way in the next day or two.  My office closed an hour early today and the announcement has already been made that we will be closed all day tomorrow as well.  Gotta love snow days!

Today was a big day for hubby and I so I decided to start off the challenge with an outfit I wore once before and got several compliments on.  Readers, we have officially begun the process of trying to buy our first house.  HOLY CRAP.  It is so exciting, but a little terrifying at the same time!  Any words of wisdom are greatly appreciated if you’ve recently gone through this process.  We’re keeping our fingers crossed and hoping that all goes well!  : )
